Page 3: Daily Graphic, March 3, 2012. The expectation among the workers of a Chinese company that they will go home with their February salaries on Thursday was dashed when a driver of the company allegedly bolted with GHc50,000 intended to be used to pay them. Felix Ametepey, the driver, allegedly attacked Mr Zhou Xian, a cashier of the company, China Railway Wuju Group, while the two were on their way from the bank and bolted with the money. The China Railway Wuju Group is the construction firm working on the Achimota-Ofankor road. The incident is said to have taken place at Abelenpke in Accra in the afternoon of Thursday after Ametepy had parked the vehicle with registration number GT 3351 – 09. The cashier is said to have reported to the police soaked in blood as a result of the attack on him by Ametepy. The Accra Regional Police Command, which is investigating the case, has placed a GHc10,000 bounty on Ametepy’s head. The Deputy Crime Officer at the Accra Regional Police Command, Superintendent Baffour Appenteng, who confirmed the robbery to the Daily Graphic appealed to members of the public to volunteer information to help apprehend the suspect.
